Backyard Oasis

BACKYARD OASIS : Outdoor spaces are just as important as interiors.  Many backyards are designed to be an extension of the home, giving more space to entertain with family and friends.  And the homeowners wanted to do just that, taking advantage of their backyard’s full potential. Through Accents of the South’s design of the pool deck and a new pavilion housing an outdoor kitchen, dining and living space, the clients’ backyard truly became the perfect room with a view.

EUSTIS

EUSTIS : This bungalow style home is nestled in downtown Huntsville. A kitchen and master bath renovation elevated the home’s interior and made it more functional for the new home owners. The subtle tones of putty, apricot and orange is traipsed throughout the main level. The glamorous bath with hand blocked wall paper finish off the space that once was a bedroom.

Low Country French

LOW COUNTRY FRENCH : This Low country French house built in Mooresville, Alabama infuses the enchantment of an ages old residence into a newly built home. Accents of the South layered on the patina of charm inside the H shape home by including French influence details throughout. A neutral palette and rooms having windows on at least two sides allows the furnishings and home to truly shine.

Lurie Residence

MODERN LODGE (LURIE RESIDENCE) – Merging the rustic, post and beam style of the home’s architecture with the client’s more contemporary furniture was Accents of the South’s goal. By painting the walls a soft grey, the space was lightened and given a more transitional feel. Spring green accents added color without being overwhelming, and hints of orange counter-balanced the green while complementing the warm, wood tones.   A rustic table with a custom, streamlined banquette created the cozy breakfast room the family desired. A fun, horizontal, striped … Read More

Randolph

RANDOLPH : Enjoying each other’s company while cooking in the kitchen was nearly impossible for our clients’ large family. The kitchen was closed off and not accessible to the living room. Through the removal of a wall, adjusting the layout, and adding additional bar seating, we achieved three spaces that work together. These rooms are now the perfect gathering place for both family and friends, and have become one large cohesive space at the heart of the home.

Lake Refuge

LAKE REFUGE : Entertaining and large family gatherings were an integral part of the mix for this lake home, which has a contemporary cottage look with soft hues and rustic pine floors. The galley style kitchen is the perfect set up for cooking and entertaining with a pass through to the great room. Incorporating lap siding throughout most of the main living space added texture and depth to the walls. A neutral palette was chosen for the main living spaces with pops of apple green as an accent. … Read More

Mountaintop Allure

MOUNTAINTOP ALLURE : Overlooking the beautiful Ledges Golf Course, this mountain-top home is built in a style reminiscent of the late 19th century, Victorian Italianate architecture. While Accents of the South appreciates the historic context, we understand the need for the home to adapt to an active, modern lifestyle. Planned with lively children in mind, the rooms are of moderate size, each flowing into the next, creating a sense of closeness within the home – but also allowing the family to be together yet not on top of … Read More

Game Day Haven

GAME DAY HAVEN : This 1940s Greek revival sits on a beautiful lot that is within walking distance of the lovely downtown area and Auburn University—a perfect site for a game day house and future retirement haven. The Chicago-based Luck family decided to undergo a significant remodel to create a home for entertaining. A large great room, master bath, and new carriage house were added. Accents of the South’s team carefully worked through the details to achieve a cohesive design uniting the original home and the additions.
