It’s market time in the design world and we at Accents of the South love going to market to find fresh new ideas and to see what is trending. This year did not disappoint! We rounded up our favorite market finds and listed what we think we shall see as design trends in 2019!

 Color, Color, Color

Its no surprise that we love color! Seeing bold, rich hues at market was exciting for us! Coming from a time of greys and neutrals, we believe color is what everyone is craving.

Design Trend 2019: Bold, blocks of colors in fabrics and furniture!

Bold, colorful patterns in pillows and artwork is a great way to introduce color to your neutral palette. We are loving these linen and velvet pillows paired with colorful artwork and you’re adding instant drama to your space.

Also on the color trend, we are loving these soft palettes of pastels. These water-color pillows are to die for!

Pink is Still HOT

The millennial pink of 2016 is still going strong! We are seeing it in furniture, lamps, rugs,  accessories. This design trend is not going anywhere, any time soon.

Design Trend 2019: PINK

Not brave enough to do a sofa entirely in pink? We say why not. You could add in the pretty shade by ways of lamps or rugs!

 

Bohemian

According to Joybird, the #1 top searched design style for Alabama in 2018 was….Bohemian! Yep, the style of casual Bohemian or Boho decorating is categorized by people who want their homes full of life, culture, and interesting items.  And while Boho rooms tend to have certain similarities in that they are always eclectic and share similar features—no two rooms are ever completely alike.

There was no shortage of bohemian style at market either. And we are predicting another design trend to be more of a curated interior for 2019.

Textures. Mixing patterns. Neutrals and prints. Pretty much anything goes with Boho!
