At Accents of the South we design interiors wholly for our clients to fit their desires, lifestyle, and personal style. When a home featuring one of our designs is chosen to be featured in a publication it is simply icing on the cake for our firm. Such was the case with this Lake Guntersville Home in Southern Lady Magazine.
This home for the Gann’s was finished months before the shoot and Southern Lady chose it to feature in their magazine. We were delighted to join them for the photo shoot to help with styling the home with florals and vignettes to showcase the beauty of the home
Because the home was so recently designed, we felt that we only needed to add pops of color to bring to life the home in the pages of the magazine. This Lake Guntersville Home in Southern Lady would reflect the beauty of a home where the family spent time enjoying the exterior as much as the interior.
Beverly chose the color orange to make a nice contrast against the earth tones and green hues seen throughout the first floor. She created floral arrangements featuring oranges, gerber daisies, and ranunculus. By utilizing the Gann’s dishes, silverware, and a few accessories from our shop, Marcy the photographer and I were able to accentuate the spaces and bring them to life.
Since outdoor spaces were extremely important to this home, Beverly and Marcy wanted to highlight them in the photoshoot. Vignettes were set up on the front and back porches to showcase the lake and beautiful scenery that envelops the home. With spring in full swing, the azalea bushes were in bloom adding additional color to the backyard.
When shooting the master bedroom, Beverly drew inspiration from the surrounding landscape by collecting flowers and greenery to make a small delicate arrangement. The magenta color of the azaleas accented the cool, blue hues perfectly and brought the outdoors in.
We were very honored to have this Lake Guntersville Home in Southern Lady magazine and thank Southern Lady for doing a fabulous job capturing the beauty of this home.
