When you’re expecting a baby one thing many mothers look forward to is designing the nursery. That was no different for our lead designer, Andrea Wilson, when she was expecting her baby girl Letty. Her Baby Girl Nursery in Huntsville Alabama was a labor of love and helped her get ready for the arrival of her sweet girl.
Since Andrea knew that she would be the one who utilized the room the most and wasn’t an infant she wanted to design a space that she loved. She wanted a sophisticated, relaxing space for herself that still maintained a fun environment that would stimulate Letty as she grew older.
The design for her Baby Girl Nursery in Huntsville Alabama started with the mid-century modern dresser that Andrea found on Craigslist. She loved the clean lines and multiple drawers for all of those tiny clothes. She painted the shell white and changed the hardware to complement her visions for the room.
Once the dresser was ready, Andrea began to add other pieces to the room like the classic Jenny Lind crib in black. She felt that the bold color and clean lines added a level of sophistication that contrasted to the light colors throughout the room. She then painted the walls with Benjamin Moore Cool Mint.
Andrea continued accenting the room with pieces that were special to her and added a level of fun and pop to the room. Pieces such as the gold-painted bookshelf in the corner and the fuchsia pink bench were bright and cheery and lent themselves to the feelings that she wanted to experience when she was in the room. And, of course, no Baby Girl Nursery in Huntsville Alabama is complete without at least a few monograms!
